A man has died after allegedly shooting himself in the head outside his home.

Police were at the home on Bayswood Street in Baysleigh at 3:46pm when they received a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.
“It was a serious situation, police have been called,” the source said.
“A 21 year old male was arrested.
He is in custody.”
The source said the man had been shot outside his Bayslips home.
“Police believe the victim was the subject of an attempted shooting incident outside his residence,” he said.
Police did not release a motive for the shooting.
“At this stage, it is not believed that the shooting was random, but it could have been the subject or victim of an attempt on their life,” the police source said, declining to give further details.
The 21-month-old boy was taken to Bayshurst Hospital for treatment.
A woman, who lives at the house, was taken away by ambulance to hospital.
Neighbours told the ABC that a man who lives across the street had been living there for several years.
“The family is shocked, it’s devastating, it really is,” said neighbour Peter Beasley.
“My son is a big kid, he’s like five or six and he was a bit of a troublemaker, he was always messing with the neighbours.”
The victim’s parents and brother live at the address.
Police said they were investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and a firearm was recovered from the scene.
