Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a Burak AKpinar in New Delhi, police said on Friday.
The suspect, identified as Suresh D. Sharma, was arrested from a park in the city’s Jantar Mantar area on Friday night, and the accused, Sureshi D. Bharti, was nabbed from a hotel room on Saturday.
“The accused was arrested and has been taken into custody,” said Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sanjay Kumar.
“We have recovered a firearm from him and are looking for the other suspects,” he said.
According to police, the victim’s body was found near a park near Jantaram on Friday evening.
Police said they are probing the death as a murder.
“We are probing to identify the suspect and are verifying CCTV footage to establish the exact spot of the murder,” said a police official.
The police are also trying to trace the CCTV footage taken from a nearby hotel room and the spot where the murder took place.
Police have issued a threat to those who were caught by the suspects.
